Grodan Rockwool has a neutral pH and should be soaked and rinsed before use with a pH of 5.5 to 5.8. The rockwool mat is a good choice for a wide variety of plants. Usage:

1. Cut a hole in the plastic sleeve to match the size of the rockwool cubes you want to place on top.
2. Normally, one plate holds about 5 plants.
3. Fill the plate with water to moisten all the rockwool.
4. Then turn the plate over and cut some drainage slits in the bottom that extend across the entire width.
5. Turn the slab over again and place the fully rooted cubes on top of the slab to allow the roots to grow into the slab.
6. Grodan Expert Slabs are perfect for irrigation via a drip system.
7. Normally, Grodan slabs are placed in a rockwool box or on a tray/flood table.
8. Grodan plates are supplied in a UV-resistant plastic cover to prevent the growth of algae.
9. Grodan plates are pH neutral and should be soaked to a pH of 5.5 to 5.8 before use.
