Water Fumigation

The aeroponic equipment consists of nebulizers, mist generators, humidifiers, or other devices that generate a fine mist to supply the plant roots with nutrients. Aeroponics systems are typically closed loop systems, which generate the macro- and micro fields that sustain a constant air-crop. Many inventions were developed to make the aeroponic nebulization easier.

The key to a successful root development in an aeroponic surrounding is the size of the water drops. In commercial utilization a hydro-nebulized drizzle is used to cover big areas of roots with air pressure obfuscation.

One version of the obfuscation-technology uses ultrasound-vaporizers or -nebulizers to spray nutrient solutions in aeroponic low-pressure instruments.

To support the aeroponic growth the size of the water drops is very important. If the water drop is too big the consequence is that the root systems have less oxygen available. On the other hand, if the water drops are too small – like those generated in the ultrasound-nebulizer – an excessive development of hair roots without a development of the site-root system, which takes care of a sustainable growth in an aeroponics, will occur.

The mineralization of the ultrasound-transformer requires maintenance work and possibly component failure. This is also a disadvantage of the metallic nozzles and nebulizers. A limited access to water let the plants lose fullness and lets them wither.
