Aeroponics
Aeroponics describes a form of cultivation in which plants are grown in a nutrient mist, without the need for a conventional medium, like for example soil (defined as geoponics). The term “aeroponics” comes from the Greek word ‘aero’ (air) and ‘ponos’ (work). The aeroponics differs from the traditional hydroponics as well as from the in-vitro type of cultivation.
In comperison to hydroponics, which uses water and vital minerals as the cultivation-medium, the aeroponics does not apply any cultivation-medium. Since the aeroponics uses water to transport the nutrients, this form of cultivation often is seen as a kind of the hydroponics.
