AC Infinity AI Water Sensor – Water Level & Leak Detection, IP68

With the AC Infinity AI Water Sensor, you can monitor water levels and detect leaks at an early stage. The sensor has been specially developed for the AC Infinity AI controllers and reliably reports whether water is present or absent at its location.

When used with a compatible AI controller, the data collected can be utilised for alerts and automated control sequences. For example, the system can detect if the water level is too low or alert you to a possible leak. Depending on the connected equipment, water-fed devices can also be activated automatically.

Thanks to its IP68 protection rating, a 3.66 m long connection cable and flexible mounting via suction cup or magnet, the sensor is suitable for a wide range of applications – from irrigation systems in grow rooms to aquariums or water tanks.

Water present or not? Simple and reliable detection

The sensor operates on a simple principle: it detects whether there is liquid at its location.

This means it can be used both to monitor a specific water level and for leak detection.

If, for example, the sensor is fitted in a water tank at the desired minimum level, the system can detect when the water level falls below this position. If, on the other hand, it is positioned on the floor or at a potential leak point, it can detect escaping water.

This makes the sensor suitable for various monitoring tasks within automated systems.

Monitoring the water level with the AI controller

When used in conjunction with a compatible AC Infinity AI controller, the water sensor becomes part of the intelligent control system.

For example, if you position it at the required minimum level of a water tank, the system will detect when there is no longer any water present there. The controller can then respond and – depending on your setup – activate a connected water supply device.

This allows for greater automation of water monitoring, meaning you do not have to constantly check the water level manually.

Detecting leaks at an early stage

As well as monitoring water levels, the sensor is also suitable as a leak sensor.

To do this, it is placed in a location where water should not normally be present – for example, beneath a tank, reservoir or other water-carrying system.

If the sensor detects liquid there, the connected AI controller can trigger a corresponding warning message. Via the AC Infinity app, you can thus be alerted to water leaks at an early stage.

This additional monitoring can be particularly useful with automated irrigation systems to detect problems as early as possible.

IP68 – for continuous use underwater

The AC Infinity water sensor has an IP68 rating and is designed for continuous use underwater.

According to the manufacturer, the sensor is protected against continuous submersion to a water depth of 3 metres.

This means it can not only detect liquid for short periods but can also be permanently positioned inside a tank, reservoir or aquarium.

Flexible mounting with a magnet or suction cup

Two mounting options are available for positioning:

Suction cup: Ideal for smooth surfaces such as the inside wall of a tank or aquarium.

Magnetic mount: Enables flexible and secure positioning on suitable surfaces.

This allows you to adjust the height and position of the sensor to suit the specific application. The 365.8 cm long connection cable also offers plenty of flexibility when positioning the sensor and controller.
