AC Infinity SPECTRON 3 – AI 4K grow camera with night vision

The AC Infinity SPECTRON 3 is a 4K grow camera specially developed for indoor grows and grow tents, allowing you to monitor, document and analyse your plants round the clock. High-resolution photos and videos, automatic time-lapse recordings, 940 nm IR night vision and intelligent AI functions make it far more than just a standard security camera.

You can also keep an eye on your grow remotely via the AC Infinity app. The integrated AI helps to identify plant growth, developmental stages and possible signs of plant stress and track these throughout the grow cycle.

When combined with compatible AC Infinity AI climate controllers, the SPECTRON 3 goes one step further: the image data captured can be incorporated into automation workflows. This creates an intelligent monitoring system that not only documents visual changes in the grow but can also use this information to control compatible devices.

Crystal-clear 4K images with 8 megapixels

With a resolution of 4K or 8 megapixels, the SPECTRON 3 delivers detailed images of your plants. This allows you to document changes much more accurately than with a standard surveillance camera.

The camera is suitable for both photos and videos and enables you to capture the development of your plants over extended periods.

Via the AC Infinity app, you can view the footage remotely and monitor your grow without having to open the grow tent every time.

Time-lapse footage of your plants’ growth

Particularly interesting is the ability to create high-resolution time-lapse footage. This allows you to document your plants’ development over days or weeks in a concise manner and highlight changes that are easily overlooked in day-to-day growing.

A microSD card is required for local storage of the recordings; this is not included in the scope of delivery.

For example, you can document growth progress and the development of the flowers throughout the entire growing cycle.

AI analysis for plant health and growth

The SPECTRON 3 was not developed solely for visual monitoring. Its AI-powered functions support the analysis of plant health and development.

The system can detect signs of plant stress and changes in growing conditions, thereby providing you with additional information to, for example, review and, if necessary, adjust watering, nutrient supply or care routines.

In addition, it can, amongst other things:

• Document growth rates
• Detect changes in plant health
• Monitor signs of plant stress
• Track flower development throughout the grow

The camera does not replace your own assessment of the plants, but provides you with additional visual data for continuous monitoring.

940-nm infrared night vision for the dark phase

Even during the dark phase, you don’t have to stop monitoring your plants.

The SPECTRON 3 uses 940-nm infrared night vision and achieves a night-vision range of up to 10 metres. This allows the camera to capture images even in the dark without using visible light.

This is a particularly important advantage for indoor growing, as it allows you to monitor your plants without opening the grow tent or switching on visible inspection lights.

Image-based automations with AC Infinity AI controllers

The SPECTRON 3 is particularly powerful when used in conjunction with compatible AC Infinity AI climate controllers.

The camera can be synchronised with the controller so that detected visual events can be incorporated into automation routines.

One example is the detection of heat stress: the system can then trigger a corresponding adjustment to the connected grow lights. The opening of the grow tent door can also be detected and used to automatically control compatible devices.

The SPECTRON 3 thus extends traditional sensor-based climate automation to include visual information from the grow room.

Designed for use in grow tents

AC Infinity has specifically designed the SPECTRON 3 for use under the particular conditions of a grow tent.

The compact camera housing measures just 5.1 × 5.2 × 5.2 cm and has an IP67 rating. This means the camera is protected against dust and temporary submersion and is robustly designed for humid grow environments.

For mounting, the camera features adjustable clamps that allow it to be securely attached to a grow tent pole.

Two 360° rotatable joints then allow for precise alignment towards the desired area of the plants.

Wi-Fi connection and monitoring via app

The SPECTRON 3 uses the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency band and can be integrated into the AC Infinity app.

This allows you to monitor your grow even when you’re not on site. Photos, videos and the smart monitoring functions thus become part of the connected AC Infinity grow system.

Particularly when combined with the AI controllers, this creates a comprehensive system comprising camera monitoring, sensor technology and automated device control.
