The Grodan Big Mama rockwool block is the largest growing block from Grodan

and has been specially developed for large plants, long growing cycles and professional irrigation systems. With its generous dimensions of 20 × 20 × 20 cm, the block offers an enormous root volume and exceptionally high water and nutrient storage capacity.

Thanks to its large substrate volume, the Big Mama is ideal as a final growing block for vigorous plants. Smaller rockwool blocks or seedling cubes can simply be placed on top of the block once they are fully rooted. As the block is supplied without a pre-cut planting hole, it remains particularly versatile in use.

Modern Grodan Improved technology ensures even water distribution and optimised re-wetting behaviour across the entire height of the block. This enables efficient root penetration throughout the entire substrate and reduces the risk of dry spots.
