The Kaya Coir Grow Pot 4.73 L combines a plant pot and coconut fibre substrate in one practical unit. The compactly compressed Grow Pot is made from 100% RHP coconut fibre and is simply moistened with water or a suitable nutrient solution. The coconut fibre then swells to form an airy growing medium with a volume of around 4.73 litres.

The coarse structure of the coconut fibre ensures a balanced ratio between water retention, drainage and oxygen supply. This creates a loose root zone in which the roots can develop well and the nutrient solution is distributed evenly.

The Kaya Coir Grow Pot is particularly suitable for hydroponic applications and cultivation on coconut coir. Thanks to its compact packaging, it can also be stored in a space-saving manner and is quickly ready for use.

100% RHP coconut fibre – washed and buffered

The Kaya Grow Pot is made from 100% RHP coconut fibre. The coconut fibres are washed several times to reduce excess salts and ensure a low EC value.

In addition, the coir substrate is already buffered. This means there is no need for time-consuming preparation of the coir substrate: simply moisten the Grow Pot, allow it to swell completely, and then plant.

The natural coir fibre mix offers a good combination of water-holding capacity and air capacity – two important properties for the healthy development of the root system.

Coarse coconut fibres for optimal root aeration

With coconut substrates in particular, a balanced ratio of water to oxygen is crucial. The Kaya Coir Grow Pot achieves a water-holding capacity of 60–65 per cent whilst maintaining 36 per cent air-filled porosity. The coarse coconut fibre structure can therefore absorb a great deal of moisture whilst providing sufficient air pores to ensure a good oxygen supply to the root zone.

A major advantage of the Kaya Coir Grow Pot 4.73 L is its compact delivery format. When dry, the compressed Grow Pot measures just 14 × 14 × 3.3 cm, making it particularly space-saving to store and transport.

To use, simply moisten the Grow Pot evenly with water and your preferred nutrient solution. The coconut fibres absorb the liquid and then swell to a size of approximately 15 × 15 × 15 cm (± 0.5 cm). This creates a usable substrate volume of 4.73 litres.

The Grow Pot comes in a biodegradable fabric bag with an open top, which holds the coconut substrate together whilst also allowing for easy insertion of seeds or young plants.
