The Kaya Coir Grow Pot 7.57 L combines a plant pot and high-quality coconut fibre substrate in one practical, ready-to-use unit. The compactly compressed Grow Pot is made from 100% RHP coconut fibre, has been washed several times and is optimally buffered. After moistening with water and your preferred nutrient solution, the substrate swells to a volume of 7.57 litres.

The coarse coconut fibre structure offers a balanced combination of water retention, drainage and root aeration. With a water-holding capacity of 60–65 per cent and an air-filled porosity of 36 per cent, the substrate can absorb a great deal of moisture whilst simultaneously providing sufficient oxygen to the root zone.

100% RHP coconut fibre – washed several times & optimally buffered

The Kaya Coir Grow Pot is made from 100% RHP coconut fibre. The coir substrate is washed several times to remove excess salts and is already optimally buffered.

As a result, the substrate has a very low electrical conductivity and can be used straight away without any time-consuming pre-treatment.

With a pH value of 6.0–6.5, the coir fibre provides ideal conditions for a controlled supply of the nutrient solution to the plants.

Coarse coir structure for water, air and strong roots

A good coir substrate must be able to retain moisture without permanently saturating the root zone with water. This is precisely where the coarse structure of the Kaya Coir Grow Pot comes into its own.

The water-holding capacity of 60–65 % is combined with an air-filled porosity of 36 %. This ensures that a high proportion of air pores is maintained within the substrate, and the roots are reliably supplied with oxygen.

The Grow Pot comes in a biodegradable plastic bag with an open top. This holds the expanded coconut coir together whilst also making it easy to insert the plant.
