Description

Blue sticky traps with perforated edges on both sides for attaching to branches, wires, cables with common clothes pegs or clay sticks and much more. The blue boards can be divided once by breaking, so that you then have 40 boards of the size 12.5 x 10 cm at your disposal.

Preventive protection against: fungus gnats, thrips, whiteflies, leaf miners, aphids.

The effect of the glue boards as an instrument for monitoring infestation and evaluating the course of infestation is based on the fact that insects searching for host plants are also attracted by the flower colour. While most insect pests fly to the yellow glue boards, thrips prefer the colour blue.

In protected cultivation, hanging glued colour boards is the most important and common method for detecting initial colonisation with flying pest stages.

Application:
During an evaluation phase it is absolutely necessary to always use the same size and type of glueboard to ensure comparability of counting results. The sizes 10 x 12.5 cm and 5 x 12.5 cm are tried and tested.

Most insects are found on the edge areas of the panels "edge effect", so for use as indicator panels, smaller catch panels are preferable to larger ones, as proportionally this achieves a larger edge area. For early detection, one glue board of 5 x 12.5 cm per 20 m² is sufficient. For control, 1 board per 5 m².

Take the glue boards out of the packaging. The two cover sheets glued on one side serve first as protection against soiling and should only be used at the very end. You can glue the unglued sides yourself by gluing them to each other on a glued surface. The foil sheets can be easily grasped at the glue-free edge areas. Fold the individual sheets along the perforation to the desired size and number them with a waterproof pen. Attach the sheets with 5 mm clay sticks or binding wire using the perforations around the edges of the sheets. Insert the boards into the soil on the clay sticks directly next to the plants and position them at a height of 5-10 cm above the young plants. Move the boards in height as the plants grow.

Notes:
Check the glue boards once a week for individual pests. As long as the boards are not too heavily infested, you can deduct the number of animals caught from week to week. If the infestation is more severe, it is advisable to change the glue boards more frequently.

It is important to start using beneficial insects in good time, i.e. when the first pests appear, in order to prevent the build-up of too large a pest Population.
