Air-Pot ®7 for healthy plants and strong root growth
Growing plants in an innovative AirPot supports healthy root growth in a natural way and prevents ring roots. A dense mass of fibrous roots is created. The plant roots can grow directly after planting, ensuring the survival of the plant.
The modern Superoot AirPot is made from recycled material and has been continuously developed by leading growers over many years. The innovative design improves plant growth in two ways. The plant develops a taproot towards the bottom of the Superoot AirPot. When the root reaches the bottom and comes into contact with the air outside, it is pruned by the air due to the increased water extraction in the outside area. The plant then directs its root growth to the side. The cones on the outside of the Superoot AirPot have air holes and ensure well-aerated soil. This allows healthy bacteria to deliver more nutrients to the plant. The cones on the inside are closed and direct the lateral root shoots to the edge of the Superoot AirPot. When the roots reach the outside, they are also pruned by the air. This natural type of pruning simultaneously stimulates further root growth along the existing root shoots. These processes are repeated many times. During these processes, the plant quickly develops many outward-facing fibrous roots. Dense root growth enhances water and nutrient uptake. The innovative design thus improves root health many times over and forms broad fibrous roots in a short time.
What is new about the Air-Pot® 7 compared to previous Air-Pot generations?
Air-Pot® 7 features a revised design and further improves the proven Air-Pot principle – for even healthier roots and easier use:
New cone design for more effective air pruning
The most noticeable change is the larger, downward-sloping cones inside the pot.
- This makes air pruning at the root tips even more effective
- This promotes dense, fibrous root formation much more strongly than before
- Tests show even more intensive root development in the Air-Pot 7
Easier filling
Thanks to the new angle, substrate and soil naturally fall into the cones – this means:
- the Air-Pot 7 is easier and more even to fill
- the substrate sits more densely and supports the air pruning better
Improved base stability
The inside of the cones is longer and flatter, which:
- ensures a more stable base for the pot
- makes the Air-Pot 7 more robust and secure
Better root development in tests
Prototype tests in European nurseries show:
- Plants develop thicker, denser root networks
- Root formation is faster and more intensive than before with the standard Air Pot models.
Advantages
- Prevents ring root growth
- Increased nutrient uptake
- Faster and healthier growth
- Made from recycled material
- Inexpensive to purchase
- Can be used for several years
- Easy to assemble and store
Assembling the AirPot ® 7
You will get the most out of growing with Superoot AirPots if you assemble them correctly in the first step. Delivered flat-packed, the walls are built around the base and secured with the plastic fasteners. Be careful not to confuse the inside and outside. The cones on the outside have holes. The inside of the Superoot AirPots do not have holes. You can recognise the top of the Superoot AirPots by the fact that one or more rows do not have holes. The air holes are wider at the bottom, which encourages air circulation under the container. Place the base after three rows of cones from the bottom and wrap the left side first, then the right. Use the plastic fasteners to secure both sides together at the top and finally at the Bottom.
