Neudorff Azet® Garden Lime – For healthy soil and strong plants
With Neudorff’s Azet® Garden Lime, you can specifically improve your soil’s pH level and ensure optimal growing conditions. The naturally sourced carbonated lime is derived from high-quality algae lime and is particularly plant- and soil-friendly.
A balanced soil pH promotes nutrient uptake in your plants, activates soil life and strengthens the entire plant system. Azet® Garden Lime acts as a preventative measure against soil acidification, thereby effectively preventing deficiency symptoms. A supply of lime is particularly important for lawns, fruit, vegetables, perennials and ornamental plants.

How to use Azet® Garden Lime correctly
Before use:
Determine the pH value of your soil, ideally using the Neudorff soil pH test. This way, you’ll know exactly how much lime your garden really needs.
Suitable for use all year round:
You can apply Azet® Garden Lime throughout the year – either on its own or in combination with:
- Terra Preta® Soil Improver
- Bentonite Sand Soil Improver
- Neudorff Rock Dust
Maintenance liming – to compensate for natural lime losses
For vegetable beds, fruit, shrubs & ornamental plants:
- Spread 50–100 g/m² of Azet® Garden Lime evenly by hand
- Work it lightly into the soil to enhance the effect
- The best times are February/March or October
Important:
Rhododendrons and other lime-sensitive plants require acidic soil (pH 4–5). Do not use Garden Lime on them.
Restorative liming – for severely low pH levels
If your soil is too acidic, targeted liming helps to restore the optimal pH level:
- Follow the results of your soil pH test
- Spread the appropriate amount of Azet® Garden Lime evenly by hand
- Work it in lightly – if necessary, you can split the total amount into two applications
Have you mixed your own potting soil? Here’s how to raise the pH level:
If you mix your own soil, you can specifically raise the pH level:
- Simply add 5 g of Azet® Garden Lime per litre of soil to raise the pH level by approximately one unit.
